Sammanfattning
Great efforts have been made since 2006 to follow up and realise the objectives of the Swedish Strategy for eHealth, efforts in which all stakeholders in the sector are now working towards the common objective that the information should be tied to the individual, not the organisation in which it is created. Solid cooperation between the Government, the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions, the Association of Private Care Providers and the National Board of Health and Welfare has resulted in a joined-up approach to improving information management in the sector. Work is still ongoing. Activities in this sector will need to adapt their work methods if they are to be able to reap the benefits of the work ongoing under the auspices of the Swedish Strategy for eHealth.
