Minister for Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt to take part in seminar on relations between East and West
On 14 January, Minister for Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt will travel to Vilnius to take part in an informal seminar on relations between the United States, the EU, Eastern Europe and the Balkans.
The forum, which goes by the name of 'Snow Meeting' and is taking place for the third year in a row, gathers politicians and academics from Europe and the United States.
The agenda for this year's meeting includes NATO's and the EU's relations with Russia, transatlantic security issues, EU and NATO enlargement, the Western Balkans, Ukraine, Georgia and Belarus.
The meeting will be hosted by Lithuania's Minister of Foreign Affairs Vygaudas Usackas. Mr Bildt will speak on the subject of 'Continued NATO and EU enlargement - why, how and where?'.
