Three new Ambassadors in Stockholm
Today, Thursday 4 February 2010, the ambassadors of Austria, Kosovo and Gabon will present their letters of credence to HM The King.
Austria's new Ambassador in Sweden is Ulrike Tilly. She began her diplomatic career at the Austrian Ministry for European and International Affairs in the mid-1980s, where she worked, among other things, as Head of the Office of the Minister for European and International Affairs. She has also had the task of representing Austria as Ambassador and Minister at the Embassy in Liechtenstein. Ulrike Tilly's most recent post was in Madrid, where she served as Ambassador.
Kosovo's newly appointed Ambassador is Lulzim Peci. He is a graduate engineer and also has a Master of Arts in International Relations. Lulzim Peci has worked as a university lecturer in national and international security policy in Prizren, Kosovo. He has also founded two non-governmental organisations, the Kosovar Institute for Policy Research and Development and the Kosovar Civil Society Foundation.
Omer Piankali is Gabon's newly appointed Ambassador in Sweden and is concurrently accredited from London. Omer Piankali has primarily worked with social welfare issues, such as care and health. He has also worked as Director-General at the Ministry for the Civil Service. At present he is serving as the Ambassador in the UK and Northern Ireland and he previously served as the Ambassador of Gabon in Libya.
