Carl Bildt to foreign minister meeting in Lappland
On 12-14 March, Finland's Minister for Foreign Affairs Alexander Stubb has invited a number of European colleagues to an informal meeting in Saariselkä in Finnish Lappland.
Participants at the Lappland seminar include High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and foreign ministers from France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Estonia and Turkey. During the weekend, the Ministers will discuss how the EU's role can be strengthened in world politics, based on HR Ashton's opening speech. The other main theme is the Union's neighbourhood policy.
