eHealth in focus for Swedish delegation in Copenhagen

During the World of Health IT (WoHIT) Conference in Copenhagen, the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs arranged a programme for a Swedish delegation of 150 participants. The Swedish model and the national strategy for eHealth in health care and social services were presented at the Swedish Pavilion.

The conference took place on 7-9 May and the delegation was headed by Karin Johansson, State Secretary to Göran Hägglund. The group included representatives of the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, government agencies, municipalities, county councils, stakeholder organisations and the IT sector.

Involvement is top priority

Making patients and users more involved in and gaining more control over their own health care situation is National eHealth´s top priority, says Karin Johansson in a speech to the delegation.

Services with concrete benefits for citizens

Decision-makers in the health and medical care sector, professionals and representatives from the business sector took part in the conference.

This year´s exhibition showcased examples of eHealth
services that resulted in concrete benefits for citizens.

Exhibition stand for continuous development

The organisations in the high-level group have a joint exhibition stand for National eHealth that presents development projects in progress.

The high-level group comprises the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, the National Board of Health and Welfare, the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions, the Association of Private Care Providers and Famna (The Swedish Association for Non-Profit Health and Social Services).
