Sammanfattning
The Integrated Maritime Policy is a cross-sectorial policy involving most ministries at the Government Offices. The policy aims for a more sustainable use of the seas or sea basins within and in the vicinity of the EU. Maritime spatial planning, joint marine data collection systems - Marine knowledge, integrated maritime surveillance and 'blue growth' are examples of areas in which cooperation occurs between several traditional policy areas and between the EU Member States and their neighbours. Regional strategies like the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region form the platform for concrete collaborations, often in project form. Below are a few examples of areas in which the Government Offices is currently involved.
