Sweden wins silver in Europe's top cooking competition

Yesterday, Sweden won silver in the Bocuse d'Or Europe. It was also announced that Sweden will host the next Bocuse d'Or Europe, which takes place in 2014.

"I am delighted that Sweden will be hosting the Bocuse d'Or Europe in 2014," says Minister for Trade Ewa Björling. "This confirms that Sweden is a culinary nation to be reckoned with. Thanks to the efforts and achievements of master chef Adam Dahlberg and his team in the Bocuse d'Or Europe, Sweden has consolidated its position as one of Europe's leading culinary nations."

It was an all-Nordic affair on the winners' podium. Of 19 competing countries, Norway won gold and Denmark bronze.
