Sustainable innovations - new markets and new actors
Old technology and approaches that consume too many of the Earth's resources are a thing of the past. We now need new solutions that build on close cooperation between actors in the research community, the business world and the financial sector. Several examples of fresh innovations and cooperation were highlighted during Stockholm+40.
Innovation is an important component in every attempt to improve people's quality of life and to solve some of society's most pressing issues, such as climate change, health and poverty. To ensure sustainable growth, countries must increase their capacity to renew and promote market introduction of sustainable solutions.
Examples of issues
- " What can different actors do to ensure that new technologies and innovations reach poor people who are currently excluded from development?
- " What is needed to promote the innovative capacity of young women and men?
