Sustainable innovations - new markets and new actors
Old technology and approaches that consume too many of the Earth's resources are a thing of the past. We now need new solutions that build on close cooperation between actors in the research community, the business world and the financial sector. Several examples of fresh innovations and cooperation were highlighted during Stockholm+40.

Innovation is an important component in every attempt to improve people's quality of life and to solve some of society's most pressing issues, such as climate change, health and poverty. To ensure sustainable growth, countries must increase their capacity to renew and promote market introduction of sustainable solutions.

Innovative solutions - seven examples
This film shows some examples of sustainable technical solutions from innovative companies from different parts of the world. The film has been put together using excerpts from existing films from innovative companies. Many other companies are also working on new ideas and sustainable solutions. This is just a sample of solutions in selected fields.
