Ewa Björling to visit Östersund to discuss Norrland's growth

On Monday 11 June, Minister for Trade Ewa Björling will visit Östersund as part of a regional export initiative for Sweden's four northernmost counties - Jämtland, Västernorrland, Västerbotten and Norrbotten. The initiative was launched in March 2012 and aims to increase exports from the region.

"I'm visiting Östersund to invite open dialogue and discussion on the future of Jämtland. It's all part of an intensified political initiative that aims to present a package of measures to strengthen regional exports by 2013," says Dr Björling.

Dr Björling's visit to Östersund will include meetings with business operators, politicians, the public sector and the general public. Over the course of the year, similar visits will be made to several counties in Norrland.
