Working life policy is to help achieve economic policy objectives, and thereby also help create the conditions for high and sustained growth and full employment.
The objective of initiatives in the labour market area is to contribute to a well-functioning labour market. Initiatives should also contribute to the primary aims of economic policy and the Government's goal of full employment. To achieve the goal of a well-functioning labour market, better matching is needed, stable employment levels must rise over time, and the role of unemployment insurance as readjustment insurance must be safeguarded.
