Summary
Promoting and increasing respect for human rights is a priority issue in Swedish foreign policy. Our commitment to human rights reflects our aspirations for a world in which people can live in freedom and security, free from fear and want. The Swedish Government aims to pursue a coherent and results-oriented human rights policy. Efforts to support human rights are to influence all areas of foreign policy, including security policy, development cooperation, migration policy and trade policy.
